Let's Talk Continuity

Hi everyone

After making quite a few short films and being asked, "Exactly what do you do", I have decided to create a space where I can talk about what I consider the most challenging role on the film crew, Continuity. I'm sure you've all watched a movie and noticed mistakes; it's the job of the Continuity Script Supervisor to make sure that there are no errors, (that can't be edited out), that affect the logical progression of the film.

I have included an FAQ section where I will attempt to answers all your questions.

Also if you are starting out in continuity, it can be difficult to find a course, or anyone to instruct you. Here I will attempt to give you that helping hand.

I myself have learnt my craft on the job and after you have a basic understanding of what to look for and how to record it, all you need to do is practise.

You will find pages and pages of continuity websites on the net where fanatics post all the errors they find in movies. They can be fun to read and will keep reminding you that even the experts get it wrong sometimes.
